Why makes Christmas special?

Christmas is special because it’s the time to be with your loving family, and it’s the birth of our saviour, Jesus.
- First, Christmas is special because it’s the time when Jesus, our saviour, is born. He was born on December 25th. Now Christmas is always celebrated on the 25th of December because Jesus was born that day.
- Secondly, it’s the time to be with your family, you spend the whole day together celebrating Christmas. It’s not about playing on electronics, and chatting to your friends, it’s about being with your family.
- Thirdly, it’s the time for getting and giving gifts. Giving gifts is about giving things to other people. And gettings is about being thankful for what you’ve been given, from your family and friends.
- Finally, Christmas is a religious celebration for billions of people around the world. They celebrate Christmas because they are thankful for the birth of Jesus, and spread the word that the Saviour is born!
- Most people celebrate Christmas by going to church, going to beautiful places, spending time with your family and friends. These are the things that make Christmas special.
Spending time with your family, giving gifts and getting gifts,make Christmas special.

What's wrong with Mr Paterson's writing.
I like pancakes. My mum makes pancakes on Sundays, she is good at making them.
My brother Shaun is a dab hand on the bbq. All Summer long, we like to have bbqs every night, steak, sausages and meat patties, we eat a lot.
Sometimes I get to have a go on the bbq too, but my mum thinks I am a bit dangerous.
My favourite things to do are: play soccer with my friends from nextdoor Mickey and Jimmy, I ride my bike and have water fights, I usually win.
WALT: We had to fix anything that is wrong with the writing.

Writing
One stormy day, a girl named Chandler was walking around a broken park. She saw a someone walking towards her, Chandler got scared but then the person said “Hi, my name is Rowling”, I thought she was going to talk in a deep voice because she wore a very dark coat which was very long. I ran away as fast as I could because I didn’t know that girl, she acted very mysterious. My mum called me for dinner and she said “How was your day, Chandler?” I said “It was fine I guess, I also saw someone in the broken park in Llama street, her name was Rowling she said” My mum and dad said “Well you really need some friends to play with you so you don’t always stay in the house”. So the next day I went to the broken park again to see the girl. I found her, she said “ Why did you run away from me, I’m don’t bite but I do have a tantrum when I am angry”. So I ran I away from her before she got angry🙋. When I turned back she was running towards me in a angry way, so I grabbed my phone and dialed ‘911’ and said “Help me! there’s a maniac chasing for just running away from her, ahhh, please” just then the cops came out of nowhere and put the girl in a orphan house to fix her brain… So I went home told my mum and dad everything and they said “Well no friends then”
